These helmets are being recalled because the chin strap can disengage. When this happens, the helmet can fall off, posing a risk of head and neck injury. </p> <p>The helmets that are being recalled have a HECC sticker with a date code JUN-2013. The hockey helmets were sold between May 2008 and July 2008 and sold for between 480 and $200.</p> <p>Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. Consumers should immediate stop using these helmets and return them to the place of purchase for a free replacement helpmet. </p> <p>Some of the models of the Reebok hockey helmet that are included in the recall are: Ht8K, HT6K, HT4K, HTV10, HTV08 and HT692. Thermal burn resulted in air so hot that it melted the plastic tubing to the baby's nose. Lawyers for the family today announced that a settlement had been reached in the case for $18.5 million. </p> <p>This is a terrific result. Children are our most precious resource and deserve the best protection and the utmost care. It is truly tragic when something so horrific happens to a child, especially a newborn.
